Spinach Dip in Pumpernickel Bowl

• Ingredients:
• 1 10-ounce package frozen chopped spinach
• 1 16-ounce sour cream
• 1 1/4 cups mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 1 box dry vegetable soup mix (Knorrs, Lipton etc.)
• 1 2-pound loaf round pumpernickel bread
• 1 loaf party-size pumpernickel
• 1 loaf party-size light rye

Method:

Cook spinach according to directions on package and drain thoroughly. Press spinach between paper towels to dry even more.

Combine spinach with the remaining ingredients and mix well. Hollow out the center of the round loaf of bread and fill with the mixture.

On a serving platter, surround the loaf/dip with the party rye, and bite size pieces of the pumpernickel.

Dip should be made ahead and chilled before putting into the pumpernickel bowl.

Finally, invite your friends and neighbours around to sample your Spinach Dip in Pumpernickel Bowl.
