Beef-Spinach Bake

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (8 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 packages (10 oz. each) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 can condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Method:

Brown beef, onion and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat; cook until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the mushrooms and spices. Add the spinach, soup and sour cream. Add half of the cheese. Stir to mix.

Pour into a greased 2-quart baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F. for about 25 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; return to oven for another 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Your Beef-Spinach Bake is now ready to serve.
