Baked (Shirred) Eggs with SpinachReturn to Spinach Recipes Index
Method: Butter 4 ramekins or custard cups. Put 1/4 cup chopped, cooked, well-drained spinach into each ramekin; slip egg into hollow made in top of spinach; add 1 tablespoon cream each, dash of salt and pepper. Set the cups in a shallow baking dish; pour very hot water around them to the depth of 1 inch. Bake in preheated oven (325 degrees F.) about 20 minutes or until the eggs are firm. Top with grated cheese if desired, after 15 minutes of baking. Bake another 5 to 10 minutes. Serve your Baked (Shirred) Eggs with Spinach at once. Delicious! |
